12年前、ニペソツ山にもウペペサンケ山にも残雪がある5月初めに橋が半分以上水没しました。こうした年は珍しく、同じような光景をその後まだ一度も見ることができていません。
Twelve years ago, in early May when there was still lingering snow on both Mount Nipesotsu and Mount Upepesanke, the bridge was submerged more than halfway underwater. Such a year was rare, and I have not been able to witness a similar scene since then.
