    三国峠は積雪1メートルに

    The content of today's blog is about this morning's view of Mikuni Pass in Hokkaido, Japan, and the Taushubetsu bridge as well.
    From the Mikuni Pass we have a vast view of the sea of forests that are one of the beautiful places in the Japan.
    The Taushubetsu bridge is currently mostly under the ice. However, it will gradually appear in the future. The bridge sinks into the water and then reappears. It is rare even in Japan. For this reason, the bridge is also called the "Phantom Bridge.

    先日降った大雪で、三国峠の積雪はすでに1メートル近くになりました。積み上げられた雪は人の背丈を優に超えています。

    車道脇の斜面には湿った雪が厚く積もっていて、今にも雪崩が起こりそうな緊張感があります。

    樹海の木々には雪があまり残っておらず、黒々とした森に変わっていました。

    標高の高い地点の木々は白く姿を変えています。

    糠平湖では氷の範囲がだいぶ広がってきました。このあとの冷え込み次第では数日のうちに全面が結氷しそうです。

    湖上を横断してタウシュベツ川橋梁まで行けるのは、年が明けてしばらく経ってからになりそうです。
